“A study was just completed called “A 2008 Report Card on the Ethics of American Youth.” The Los Angeles-based organization said that the teenagers’ responses to questions about lying, stealing and cheating “reveal entrenched habits of dishonesty for the workforce of the future.” Boys were found to lie and steal more than girls. (No surprise there!) Overall, 30 percent of the students admitted to stealing from a store within the past year, a 2 percent rise from 2006. More than one-third of boys (35 percent) said they had stolen goods, compared to 26 percent of girls.

An overwhelming majority – 83 percent of public school and private religious school students – admitted to lying to their parents about something significant. The study found that “cheating in school continues to be rampant and it’s getting worse.” Among those surveyed, 64 percent said they had cheated on a test, compared to 60 percent in 2006. And 38 percent said they had done so two or more times.”

Why does this surprise anyone? Why is it news?

We have 50% or better of the families that have been through divorces. We have better than 50% of some minorities having illegitimate kids, we have politicians on both sides of the aisle that sell senate seats, rape the public by taxes, spend billions fighting an illegal war, bailout companies who have done business wrong, vote themselves raises when no one is looking.

Who do kids have to look up to?

In earlier times, we had military leaders that kids could look up to, now we have PC metrosexual males wearing our uniform and more concerned about how they look on TV than they do about the battle (not war, we have not legally declared a war since WW 2).

We have TV, rock, rap, movie, country, etc stars that have been through more divorces than average, apparently do drugs (I have to assume this to be true, explains their stupidity causes by loss of brain cells). Who star in piss poor movies and shows. Music has become nothing more than fluff without any real substance (with a few exceptions).

How about their parents? Assuming they still have their original mom and dad together, perhaps they might have a chance if they don’t bow to peer pressure at school. How many kids still live with their mommy and daddy? Not mom and step-dad or dad and step-mom.

Our kids have few hero’s to look up to. Everything you see and hear bring to light another scandal, another crime, another unethical act committed by someone who was supposed to be a leader of industry or public official or someone else of position.

Kids are pretty perceptive. When they hear about a president getting a blow job in the oval office and then say he did not have sex, they figure, why not me? Why can’t I do that if the president can?
When they hear about business’ doing everything wrong and then running crying to the government asking for a bailout, they figure, well, why do I have to try in school? If I get poor grades, wont’ be my fault, let the school bail me out.

When they hear our president lie to them on national TV about events leading up to our invasion of Iraq and then invade a country resulting in 10 of thousands of deaths on both sides, why should they care about studying about the Constitution on school? It is obvious by the actions of the government that the document is no longer valid so why study it?

We have no more strong leaders. The few we do have, like Dr. Ron Paul, don’t have a chance in making it into the white house because they believe in the Constitution. They believe in doing what is right.
Our teenagers are only emulating the behaviors of our most prominent citizens.

Why are we surprised?

We have boiled down to 3 types of people in my opinion.

Sheep, or Sheeple-99.5% of the US population

Sheepherders-politicians, corporations, media types, etc that herd the sheep in the direction they want
them to go and finally

Wolves-we are few but strong and fiercely independent. We don’t believe everything we hear and say, we think for ourselves and do the right thing, well, most of the time.

Fuck the sheep and their herders; I’ll stick with my pack or lone-wolf it.

Steel is forged in fire, not in a Lazy-Boy recliner in front of the TV. We are our scars, be them emotional or physical. I’m proud of the hardships I have gone through; they have made me what I am today. I don’t have a “comfort zone”, I have an ability to make myself comfortable whatever situation I’m in. I don’t have “comfort food”, I eat to live, I don’t live to eat. Sure I like to be home and veg out in front of the TV from time to time but I’m more alive when I’m at work, in the field, in another country than I am in front of the idiot tube.

If you force yourself to partake in as many unfamiliar things as you can, you will discover that you don’t have to seek a “comfort zone”, you carry your own internally. You become adaptable to almost any situation. If you are in the safety of your home and something bad happens, you are not frozen in fear or because of the dramatic change that has just happened, you are ready to deal with whatever happens.

Our country has become too comfortable which translates into a country of lazy ass, whining, hypochondriacs that tremble in fear at the thought of coming in contract with a germ and carry bottles of sanitizing liquids in the pockets. A country that has given up freedom in the quest for security from a tyrannical government. A country that believes the propaganda that comes out of TV because to believe otherwise would make them too, well, uncomfortable.

Like I said in my earlier posting about the movie, “The Matrix”. I took the red pill, I see what is going on. I see the stupidity of the sheeple in their stampede to buy the newest, latest, greatest shiny piece of shit that has come on the market. They are comfortable with their gadgets, it makes them happy and content. Fuck them.

We have a country of weak, scared, comfort seeking sheep that run to the doctor at the first sign of a sniffle, put prescription chemicals in their bodies to try and reverse what it has taken them decades to fuck up and are lead by the nose by the news media and entertainment industry to buy more, spend more, buy bigger and work extra time to get more money to do it all again.

I wish I could offer some words of hope for our future. I wish I had some brilliant ideas for what to do but I don’t. I don’t see it getting any better and I don’t see how we can turn it around.

The only thing I can do is to try and spread the word, try to convert some of the sheeple into wolves. Protect my family and prepare them for what is coming. I can, and do, network with others of like minds.

Our greatest hope is that after the collapse comes, and its coming, whatever and whomever is left will be tempered by that fire and conflict. We will be left with, if not a nation at least groups of harden, freedom loving people. Out of the ashes (thanks Bill J. RIP), a country of true warriors will emerge.

I don’t know about you but I plan on being one of them or die trying.

So while we were watching comedy or drama on TV, it felt like we were watching a bit of American life. TV shows were produced to satisfy the taste of the American public.

Flash forward to today. Look at what is on TV. Reality TV shows, drama with abuse in families, comedy with all kinds of shit going on. TV shows have become mindless entertainment. There are no values displayed in TV shows except for bad values. Only TV worth watching for me is Discovery Channel, History Channel, etc. TV shows and movies have become nothing more than commercials in that they are full of product placement.

Think about it. How long has it been since you have seen a TV show that has a “normal” family living a “Normal life”?

I pondered the question above and then I realized, TV is still the same. What we watch on TV is what seems to have become the norm. TV is producing what the public wants. If it wasn’t what people wanted, the TV shows would be trashed.

Nope. TV does still reflect day to day life in the USA. It still produces shows that people want to watch. The shit on TV reflects the shit, and shit for brains mentality in America.

How fucking depressing.

Like the line from the movie “You can’t handle the truth!”. That is what has happened to Americans, they can’t handle the truth.

Don’t tell Americans they are fat because they eat too much of the wrong things and don’t exercise, they don’t want to hear that. Tell them that is isn’t their fault and blame it on the fast-food places.

Don’t tell Americans that they should not have over-extended themselves on credit when they bought that $300, 000 house on a $50, 000 a year income, blame it on the mortage companies or the government.

Don’t tell Americans that they have become slaves to consumerism, that they are buying trendy shit that will not improve their lives on a deep level. Tell them that they have to have the latest mobile phone. They will buy it.

Don’t tell Americans that our Consitution is no longer worth anything and that we have become subjects to a tyrinnacle government that is worse that Orwell could have invisioned. Tell them that they have to be treated as criiminals when they fly, they had better have their “papers” with they when the travel and that half what they earn is not theirs, it belongs to the government. Hell, they will beleive you, conform to the rules and still think they are free!

People don’t want to hear the truth. Deep down they know what is happening (I think, maybe not) but they would rather beleive what they see and hear on TV and radio. Because if they face the truth, if they admit that they have ignored the lies than they have a responsibility to stop what is happening.

But that ain’t going to happen. People don’t have responsibility any longer. Men are no longer men, women have become characters out of “Sex in the City”. And they are happy with their roles it seems.

If they faced the truth, they would have to do something about it and it seems that taking responsiblity is no longer the American Way.

American society that is driven by debt and greed. I’m talking about a mad dash to consumerism drivin
by the major corporations through everything from newspapers to movies to TV to the Internet. I’m
talking about the Sheeple living their lives by what they perceive their lives are supposed to be which is formed and shaped by the corporations. People have to have the newest I-Phone, they have to have the latest model H-2, they have to have those pair of $60 jeans because they have a pop stars name on the ass or were made by some designer who is incapable of pronouncing their name the way it is spelled.

The Matrix is alive and well!

Most of this society is living in The Matrix which is designed by corporations and force fed them by
television, movies and other forms of advertising. The Sheeple have become the “batteries” that power
The Matrix. They may not be enclosed in capsules as in the movie but nevertheless, they are just as
enslaved

The Sheeple lives their lives the way that the corporations want them to. Drink Starbucks, pay $2.00
for a bottle of water that is not that much different than tap water, buy the newest mobile phone to
replace the one that went obsolete 2 days after they bought it 6 months ago. Drink water with vitamins in it. Feel down? Take this pill! Too much energy? Take that pill! Got some syndrome? Take another pill and when all these pills cause side effects, take more pill for the side effects. Over 50% of the people in this country are taking at least one prescription medication for a chronic condition. Why is that? Are we really that sick? Or is the Matrix keeping us medicated into compliance?

I fucked up. I took the red pill. I see what is going on. If only I had taken the blue pill then I might be
able to sit glued to American Idol and Survivor on TV without having the desire to shoot the damn
thing!

We have become a weak country of sheeple whose lives are driven by the programming that is
downloaded into them by The Matrix called corporate America and our government.

Men’s testosterone levels dropping, study says

The past two decades have seen a “substantial” and unexplained decrease in American men’s testosterone levels, a study has found.

The downward trend seems to be “due to some undocumented historical or contemporary influence, health-related or environmental,” wrote researchers with the New England

Research Institutes in Watertown, Mass., in the study.

Average levels of the hormone dropped by 1 percent a year, the researchers reported. While a man’s testosterone level typically falls steadily with age, the investigators found what

they argued was a faster decline than could be attributed to aging alone.

Okay so why is this happening? This quote in the article struck me: “due to some undocumented historical or contemporary influence, health-related or environmental,”.  Could it be that

the “Contemporary influence” is our society? Could this be an evolutionary change?

Society seems to go overboard when it needs to fix things. There is no argument that there was gross inequality in our society between the sexes and races but as we usually do,

rather than fixing things to a logical level, we go overboard the other way.

Okay, so what does this have with a drop of testosterone in men you ask? Good question.

Regardless of your religion, or lack thereof, humans have evolved over the centuries. Be it the 5000 or so years that Christians believe humans have been around or the hundreds of

thousands or millions of years that other people believe.

The physical evolution of humans is evident in a number of ways. People that live close to the equator and in areas with large amounts of sun, have more skin pigmentation, people in

cold areas have higher percentages of body fat and paler skin. We have an appendix that seems to be some type of evolutionary left over and the list goes on.

I think that men’s bodies are evolving in the USA and other “civilized” countries because of the pressure society puts on us to be non-aggressive, non-combative, Oprah-nized

metro-sexuals.  The male in this country has been effectively castrated by our society. Little boys are not supposed to be full of energy and fidget during class, they have to sit still even

if we have to drug them to do so. Heaven forbid that they ever fight! Why, we just can’t have that! Bring a play gun to school? Heavens no! Why we won’t even let them draw a gun in

school.

And men in the workplace? Sitting cooped up in a Dilbert cubicle is hardly the role of a “hunter/gather” and don’t dare act aggressive or even hint at how nice a woman looks in the

workplace if you value your job.

Someone once said that if women today want equal rights with men, they are going to have to give up some to be equal. Ain’t it the truth.

I’m going to get hit by charges of being sexist which I’m not. I have no problems with women having the same rights that men do. Not more rights, EQUAL RIGHTS!

Men’s nature is to be the warriors, explore, take risk, hurt and be hurt. That is what we do best. If it was not for our ability and desire to do this, other countries would not have been

explored, we would not have gone to the moon (still not sure why we did however), we would not have won wars (okay, maybe we should not have started them in the first place but if

we are going to start them, we damn well better win them), and a lot of the great strides that have been made in this world would not have been made.

Women in this society have a natural role as men do and yes, women can be just as fierce a warrior as men. If you have not seen it, a great movie was 300 about the Spartans. In once

scene a messenger from the Persian army is trying to negotiate a surrender and the Queen Gorgo of Sparta says something to him he does not like to which he responds:

Messenger: What makes this woman think she can speak among men?
Queen Gorgo: Because only Spartan women give birth to real men.

Clearly a woman that you would not want to piss off.

Yes boys and girls. We are different, both sexes has its strengths and weakness. But if society does not stop this slow castration of the men in this country, we will be left with a bunch

of metro-sexuals that cannot fight, cannot defend their homes and families and a society of unsatisfied women that will be wondering “where have all the REAL men gone”?

The men are still there, they just have lost their balls. Not really lost I suppose, Oprah has a closet full at her mansion.

Almost none of these drugs cure anything, they only treat symptoms. A bunch of this people are on drugs for depression, fuck off! Get out and exercise or deal with your depression another way. Most of the people in this country are on drugs because they are too fucking fat and lazy to exercise. They treat their bodies like shit and then want a magic pill to cure themselves. I used to work in the medical field, I know what I’m talking about here.

Go to Wal-Mart. Look at all the lard asses in their electronic chairs. What do almost all of them have in common? FAT! They are the last people that need an electronic wheel chair.

Study: Over half of Americans on chronic medicines

TRENTON, N.J. — For the first time, it appears that more than half of all insured Americans are taking prescription medicines regularly for chronic health problems, a study shows.

The most widely used drugs are those to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol _ problems often linked to heart disease, obesity and diabetes.

The numbers were gathered last year by Medco Health Solutions Inc., which manages prescription benefits for about one in five Americans.

Experts say the data reflect not just worsening public health but better medicines for chronic conditions and more aggressive treatment by doctors. For example, more people are now taking blood pressure and cholesterol-lowering medicines because they need them, said Dr. Daniel W. Jones, president of the American Heart Association.

In addition, there is the pharmaceutical industry’s relentless advertising. With those factors unlikely to change, doctors say the proportion of Americans on chronic medications can only grow.

“Unless we do things to change the way we’re managing health in this country … things will get worse instead of getting better,” predicted Jones, a heart specialist and dean of the University of Mississippi’s medical school.

Americans buy much more medicine per person than any other country. But it was unclear how their prescriptions compare to those of insured people elsewhere. Comparable data were not available for Europe, for instance.

Medco’s data show that last year, 51 percent of American children and adults were taking one or more prescription drugs for a chronic condition, up from 50 percent the previous four years and 47 percent in 2001. Most of the drugs are taken daily, although some are needed less often.

The company examined prescription records from 2001 to 2007 of a representative sample of 2.5 million customers, from newborns to the elderly.

Medication use for chronic problems was seen in all demographic groups:

_ Almost two-thirds of women 20 and older.

_ One in four children and teenagers.

_ 52 percent of adult men.

_ Three out of four people 65 or older.

Among seniors, 28 percent of women and nearly 22 percent of men take five or more medicines regularly.

Karen Walker of Paterson, N.J., takes 18 prescription medicines daily for high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic back and shoulder pain, asthma and the painful muscle disorder fibromyalgia.

“The only way I can do it and keep my sanity … is I use pill boxes” to organize pills for each morning and night, said Walker, 57, a full-time nurse at an HIV clinic. Her 69-year-old husband, Charles, keeps his medicines lined up on his bureau: four pills for arthritis and heart disease, plus two inhalers for lung problems.

Dr. Robert Epstein, chief medical officer at Franklin Lakes, N.J.-based Medco, said he sees both bad news and good in the findings.

“Honestly, a lot of it is related to obesity,” he said. “We’ve become a couch potato culture (and) it’s a lot easier to pop a pill” than to exercise regularly or diet.

On the good side, he said, researchers have turned what used to be fatal diseases into chronic ones, including AIDS, some cancers, hemophilia and sickle-cell disease.

Yet Epstein noted the biggest jump in use of chronic medications was in the 20- to 44-year-old age group _ adults in the prime of life _ where it rose 20 percent over the six years. That was mainly due to more use of drugs for depression, diabetes, asthma, attention-deficit disorder and seizures.

Antidepressant use in particular jumped among teens and working-age women. Doctors attributed that to more stress in daily life and to family doctors, including pediatricians, being more comfortable prescribing newer antidepressants.

Dr. Sidney Wolfe of Public Citizen’s Health Research Group said the increased use of medications is partly because the most heavily advertised drugs are for chronic conditions, so most patients will take them for a long time. He also blames doctors for not spending the time to help patients lose weight and make other healthy changes before writing a prescription.

The study highlights a surge in children’s use of medicines to treat weight-related problems and other illnesses previously considered adult problems. Medco estimates about 1.2 million American children now are taking pills for Type 2 diabetes, sleeping troubles and gastrointestinal problems such as heartburn.

“A scarier problem is that body weights are so much higher in children in general, and so we’re going to have larger numbers of adults who develop high blood pressure or abnormal cholesterol or diabetes at an earlier age,” said Jones, of the heart association.

Dr. Richard Gorman, an American Academy of Pediatrics expert on children’s medicines, said more children are taking medicines for “adult conditions” partly because manufacturers now provide pediatric doses, liquid versions or at least information to determine the right amount for a child.

The Medco study found that among boys and girls under age 10, the most widely used medication switched from allergy drugs to asthma medicines between 2001 and 2007. Gorman said that’s because over the last decade, asthma care has gone from treating flare-ups to using inhaled steroids regularly to prevent flare-ups and hospitalizations.

The old saying is that you should beware a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Thorin in his book “Wolf in wolves’ clothing” puts his thoughts and believes on paper and I have no doubt that he is a true “wolf” (check out www.wickedjester.com for his books).  

But I think the ones to truly beware of are the sheep in wolves clothing. I think that at the end of the day, these would-be wolves will tear down more young wolves and turn them into sheep in such a way that the mass media could not.

Let me explain. I’m 52 years old and have been a wolf all my life. I have resisted any attempts to be assimilated into the system that feeds and creates the sheep. I ain’t going to change now.It has not been an easy life but has had its own rewards. As a result, I’m now my own person and still making a good living finally finding my place in an industry full of wolves.

What I am seeing is a lot of young “sheep in wolves clothing”. These are people that are perhaps still rebelling, act and talk like wolves but I suspect that in a few years they are going to become sheep and be assimilated into the herd. Part of this is personality makeup. While they talk and act like wolves, they have just as much a need to be part of the flock and the sheep. If they have to, they will create their own pack of “wolves” who may very well have some wolf pups in the pack but eventually the leaders will be assimilated into the “sheeple machine” and shed their wolf coats. In the process the pups of their packs will be disillusioned and end up being assimilated also.

How to avoid this? Well, it can be difficult for a young person to tell the difference. Read Thorin’s books, get some of the old wolves to mentor you, be your own person and trust your instincts. If Thorin’s or any other wolve’s words strike a cord in your heart, explore them deeper and see if they are right for you.Just be careful and if you do see one of these so-called “wolves” shed their coats and join the herd, don’t blindly follow along.Recognize them for what they were all along, a sheep in wolves clothing.

The quote above is spot on and I think it pretty well describes why the sheeple have multiplied. And it seems to be a fairly recent phenomenon. I can see the gradual decline in my life time of 52 years (so far). And while it was gradual at first, it seems to be gaining speed. The last 10 years seems to have bred more sheeple than the previous 42 years of my life.  I think there are many reasons for this, decline of the family unit, increase in dependence on credit, new technology that becomes obsolete in a few months (in the small minds of the sheeple) and has to be bought again so that they have the “Latest greatest” gadget.

Guess I’m old fashioned. I do have a cell phone and mine last at least 2 years. I only replace it when it fails or when the cell phone carrier has stopped supporting that model. And I buy based on my need, not on what is fashionable. I don’t give a shit if it surfs the net, takes pictures or plays games, I want it to make and receive calls, period. 

But I digress. We have become a country of soft, weak people. The day is coming when our enemies are going to exploit this weakness and I’m afraid the day is near. Who we think are our friends are in truth, our enemies and are allying against us. China and Russia have become military allies and are rearming themselves. We are helping China build their military by buying all the “Made in China” shit at Wally World and other stores. In the process, we are weakening ourselves and out economy.

When the economy collapses (and it will), most Americans will sit around, wringing their hands and wait for the government to do something. Our military is spread out around the globe and our enemies will strike.

Watch a movie that was made in the 1980’s, “Red Dawn”. A very politically incorrect movie that became something of a cult classic. It was about the invasion of the Soviets and their allies against the USA. It is a snapshot of what happened in one small town in Colorado. But I think that it captured what life was like in a small town at that time. Tough people that raised tough kids. The kids knew how to hunt, camp and shoot guns (gasp!!).  

I grew up in a city of about 160, 000 people. We spent a good bit of time out in the country camping and shooting. I never cared much for hunting myself but love to shoot. I had cousins that grew up in a small town in Texas of about 4000 people and I used to go visit. Seeing unlocked pickups in the high school parking lot with guns in racks in the back window as pretty common.

My mom remembers boys carrying their .22lr rifles to school and leaving them by the door, just in case they saw a rabbit on the way home.

Contrast that to now, today, out attitudes towards raising kids, guns, everything. Kids can get into trouble for drawing a picture of a gun in school, much less actually having one. Doctors are questioning kids when they examine them as to if they have guns in their houses. 

We have become weak and it will destroy our society. Most Americans think the being self-sufficient means drinking tap water instead of bottled water (it has to be so much healthier, right?). They bitch about the price per gallon they pay for gas while sipping from their .5 liter bottle of water that they paid over a dollar for. 

When I say weak, I’m talking about the population of the US.

There are some wolves out there that know how to survive, that won’t follow the sheeple herd to destruction. Find them, learn from them, become one of the pack. Shed your sheepish mentality and become strong before its too late. When our society collapses, when our enemies invade, it will be the strong that survive. The sheeple will die or be herded into “reeducation” camps. We will have an opportunity to fight our invaders and possibly get our country back. In the process, we will build a stronger society and hopefully learn from our mistakes. Or we may very well die in the process but at least we will die on our feet fighting, not on our knees.

If the Russians are deploying bombers and making dry runs at the American homeland, we do not care. Let them play their silly war games. We aren’t alarmed. If British intelligence has detected Chinese preparations for a surprise attack against the U.S. Navy, let us pronounce a decided “HO HUM” and go about our business. Let us shop until we drop. Let us watch cable television until the rest of the world sinks out of sight. Why should we contemplate the boozy Russian or the desperate Chinese? Why should the distant hovel interest us? We are fat from eating, and our eyes are glazed from entertainment.”
